We strongly believe that our team’s happy and caring approach provides good role models for the young children.

Our staff ratio is excellent for the care and well-being of the children;

COMMITTEE

Welland Pre-school is a voluntary setting and registered as a charity, therefore, there has to be a committee in order for the pre-school to continue operating… No committee means no pre-school! The aim of the committee is to provide the very best care for the children – quality care that is delivered in a safe environment.

The key responsibilities of the committee are -

  • Staffing
Members of staff are carefully selected and vetted.
  • Premises
‘The Pavilion’ is jointly used and run by Welland Pre-school and Welland Football Club.
  • Low fees
We are non-profit making and in order to keep the fees as low as possible, fund-raising events are organised and add a vital boost to the pre-school’s cash-flow.
  • Policies
Policies and procedures are put into action and updated as required – this ensures consistency of care and safety.
  • Members
Recruitment of new members to ensure that all roles on the committee are filled and they can continue to achieve their aims.
  • Committee meetings
Regular meetings enable members to discuss all aspects of the pre-school, the committee meets usually once a term to discuss the general running of preschool and any issues that need seeing to, as well as any fundraising ideas.

Join us – New members of the committee are always welcome.  The majority of the committee has to be parents/carers.  Joining our group not only enables you to have your say in making a real difference to the young children in our care, but enables you to make friends over a coffee.

Get involved – your contribution will be valued.

To contact the committee please telephone 01684 311807 or email enquiries@wellandpreschool.org, or use the contact us form.

The present committee is made up of the Preschool Manager and Deputy Manager, Head of Welland Primary School, as well as parents of the children attending.
